Sledding

Daddy was able to have two days off from work! It was too icy and COLD to travel safely, so he got to spend some time with us. Unfortunately, one of those days he was sick, but we made up for it the next day.
This is day two of the ice. It looks like snow but it was actually tiny sand-like pieces of ice. Great for sledding on.

My handsome man. ;o)

One of our neighbors was tossing this sled away, so we picked it up. It was still in really good condition, and it was a good thing we grabbed it because it made for a really fun day and will come in handy in Italy, too.

Lyn looked like a little snowman all bundled up. Those are booties from Logan's snowpants on her hands because she doesn't have thermal gloves yet.

Not as much ice day 1, but still a good time!

It was about 17 degrees out and we were the only crazies outside. It was awesome!

Time to defrost.

Lyndsey didn't like the idea of coming inside.

Her little cheeks are still pink from being outside. We kept her toasty, but her face was tough to keep warm. We took the kids to a nice hill near our pool and sled down all day. We came home just as the sun was melting away the ice. :o)

Off the subject of sledding, I just thought I'd pass along a little bit of bad news... Our little Moonlight broke her leg Sunday night and we had to put her to sleep. It has been a sad week. I thought you might like to know since we had so much fun with her when you were here.
